This is the best thing McDonald's has, by far.
I'm tired of McDonald's overall, but I always love eating these.
They're also great for Christcucks during Lent

This is a meme. There's nothing wrong with it on sandwiches.
This bar I go to makes a fish sandwich with cheese on it and it's a 9/10 sandwich ,goes great with pale ales

I wonder if they'd sell me some of the fish patties with a side of tartar.

I assume they won't let you buy a bag of patties, I've never heard of anyone doing it at least.

Nah just maybe 2-3 cooked patties with tartar on the side for a ghetto fish & chips.

the steamed bun is the best part, though

>The sandwich was the first non-hamburger menu item brought in by new McDonald's company owner Ray Kroc.[20] Kroc made a deal with Groen: they would sell two non-meat sandwiches on a Friday, Kroc's own Hula Burger (grilled pineapple with cheese on a cold bun) and the Filet-O-Fish, and whichever sold the most would be added to the permanent menu. The Filet-O-Fish "won hands down"[21] and was added to menus throughout 1963 until reaching nationwide status in 1965.[22]

I've eaten McDonald's only a few times since they got rid of those 'artisan' sandwiches, specifically the bacon smokehouse with fried (crispy) chicken. Back when they had that the app deals were great too, could usually get two of those sandwiches for like $5.

Sometimes I go to the crappiest McD's in the worst neighborhood in my (small) city because of the deals they have on Filets-o-Fucks. It's a heavily PR/Dominican dominated area and those guys are all Catholics and thus the franchise owner always has some deal going on for em during Lent

yep, the single patty is a liottle light. double just hits the spot. used to get it all the time when i worked there.
