CT sucks, driving through to get to MA it just looks like a dead fishing area like Innsmouth. I will concede there's a stretch of highway by the water where there's always 10+ food trucks lined up of various foods. They look good but not good enough to stop in CT for any reason.

Connecticut has the best pizza in the country. Also has some great spots for grilled hot dogs and doughnuts. Impossible to drive through the state without stopping for one of those.

Lived along the southern coast in 3 different towns. Sleeper pizza joints are as followed. Daytons margharita pizza on....Dayton St is better than pepes. Petrillios (better than red tomatoes) crust has a unique sort of flour underneath. Similar to semolina but with more texture. Either way, get their buffalo chicken pie. And the best sauce is from Portofinos pizza in Madison. Honerable mention for Fiores in Old Saybrook.
