If he dropped the character he currently plays in his videos I really feel like he could be close to the new Anthony Bourdain. There's moments in his videos where he's really considered and insightful. The episode where he went to Vietnam with his buddy who hadn't been back since the war ended was pretty good. Legitimately heart-wrenching listening to him talk about how he escaped. Good shit.

His videos with Brad are some of the most genuinely fun and comfortable cooking vids on the internet. Their trip noodling never fails to make me smile. Didn't expect his cookbook to be mostly french style shit but was shocked at how good the majority of it is. Like you assume he's some hack retard because of how he's presented most of the time but then every single time he's cooking something on BA or his own channel it's all shockingly good technique. Just wish his own stuff wasn't so fucking horribly edited.

I worked at a restaurant in Toronto he would regularly visit and he was just the most obnoxious fat fuck ever.
Hes also super preachy about being sober since he somehow survived like 2 (I think) heart attacks while being a coke addict but still wont lose weight in despite saying he cares about 'his health'.
