I agree op. I have to let the coffee cool in the pot for like a half hour after brewing it or I have to water down the cups with cold water at work in order to drink it

>> No.15708047

I'm gonna buy one now. Does anyone else drink iced coffee? I drink a cup of hot then chill the rest of the pot. FIll mason jar with ice, add coffee, half and half, some sugar and it's good

You basically need a stick thermometer to use these

Trucker here.
These things are a dirty little secret in the industry.
We get a free coffee fillup with every so many gallons of fuel.
The truck stop doesn't really care if it's a small styrofoam cup, a travel mug (usually 20 oz), or a half gallon Stanley jug.
Rinse out with hot water before you fill it, coffee ia pretty hot for 36 hours, and stays drinkable for around 52 hours - useful if you overnight someplace without amenities.

Grandpa used to take his fishing.
He still had hot coffee the next morning.
Handy little suckers.

You're supposed to pour into a ceramic mug and drink from that, numbnuts
>swigging steaming hot liquid from narrow mouthed, stainless steel thermos
Don't tell me this is what you've been doing.

>> No.15708859

You pour your little tiny cup into the lid there and it cools off almost instantly.

I love my thermos.

The lid is a cup, you idiot. You can happily pour it into there and drink from it.

Maybe not, but dozens of rookies have been shocked to learn that my free coffee is 4x larger than their free coffee just because my container is bigger.
Figuring that out saves you about $5/day in coffee expense, so it's about a 2 week breakeven on the cost of a jug.

These were designed to be used by working men. Actual men, who actually worked and who wanted a hot coffee at break time and lunch. Not for soft handed pussy boi faggots like OP. And by the way, it's not a single serving size. You'll be bitching about the tiny cup next.

Not bad, honestly.
Got into it after a few fuckups in life, helped me get my head clear and things moving in the right direction. Doing ok, about 6 years now.
Company driver. No desire to be an owner op, but I figure since I know the owner's kids, it's unlikely that I'll get too screwed over.
Most of the crew is local, old guys who want an excuse to get out of the house before they go fishing in the afternoon. I'm OTR, so they don't hang me up doing little piddly runs unless it's the last Fridat of the month and the delivery window is closing.

Youre supposed to pour it into the cap and reseal the thermos itself you retard. Whats in the cap cools down over time while the thermos contents remain hot.

the lid "could" be used as a cup but it most certainly is not a proper cup unless you want to pour shit 3 times each time you want to drink
