Not a bad idea. Last two appliance replacements I found at the local used appliance dealer. Many new homeowners buy matching sets and redo kitchens and chuck out great appliances, esp dishwashers that aren't water savers, but it won't be stainless steel. Same with a good washer or dryer.
Get an over the range built-in microwave...not hard to install with a 2nd person.

Meanwhile the old school counter microwave from the 90s my parents offloaded on me still works. Kek. And the fridge. We've had to replace our fridge too around 10 years old, but we had the 90s fridge as backup and used that for 1 year or so. Put it back in the garage after buying a new one. The microwave that came with this house was absolutely shit and the door came off after 7 years. Spuse tried to "fix" it while it was still above the range and the glass fell out, kek. Right as I was saying not to do it like that, CRASH, glass everywhere. Range is still going strong other than the knob insert getting bent because some dipshit moved it retardedly, thus creating the warping of the metal insert after breaking thr knob. I hate new shit. Why people consoom qnd go out of their way yo go into debt for useless new things is beyond me.
