Easily the best budget bread. Not overpriced like Brownberry or Arnold and not complete shit like Mother's or Butternut. Only draw back is that its a short loaf compared to the latter breads

The consensus 25 years ago was that it was great for dough prep, but lousy for baking.
Get one that can handle stopping after the first rise, then you shape the loaf and bake in a real oven.
Even if your only advantage is not having a dough hook cavity in your loaf, that is reason enough.

You don't need a breadmaker to make bread. You don't even need to knead it if you're that lazy. Just put flour, water, salt, and yeast in a bowl and leave it overnight, then the next morning shape, rest, and bake.
