I want to make a Führer cake because I think it would be funny to bring hitlers cake to a birthday party and then tell everybody what they just ate after they all enjoyed it
but there isn't actually a recipe, just a description. So I'm spit balling here

it's an apple cake with raisins and nuts strewn throughout it

so starting with a really dense moist apple cake is simple enough
I'll soak the raisins in rum to be extra decadent
as for nuts, walnuts are the obvious choice, but what nuts are common for german confections? I don't know much about them
then for topping I will put cinnamon roasted almonds all over the top which I hear are a popular german treat. And if its a cake fit for hitler I'm sure it would be over the top
