We don't have a lot of experience with bourbons, so do anyone have any suggestions? We have thought about the 3 in pic related.

I'm about to run out of my current bourbon (Jefferson's Very Old Reserve) and I need a new one soon.

I was going to get Maker's Private Selection for $70 but chickened out. Anyone have experience with this? I've never had any Maker's Mark or wheated bourbon so I don't know what to expect, and for $70 I don't want to get burned. My store's bottling is labeled as having 2 Maker's 46 staves, 6 French mocha staves, 1 seared french cuvee, 1 toasted french spice, for anyone who's familiar with the Private Selection flavor profiles.

Select is the budget option. No age statement and priced cheaper than their "standard". Lots of companies have one. Glenlivent Founder's Reserve, Oban Little Bay, Ardbeg Wee Beastie, Talisker Storm, Laphroaig Select as you mention, hell even Lagavulin has an 8 year cheaper option than their flagship 16, though that does state the age.
