I am a wagecuck with little free time and the whole proccess of cooking and cleaning the kitchen takes too fucking long.
I need an appliance that makes food with minimal hassle. Something where I can just put the ingredients, forget about it while I shower and then come back to an edible meal.
Is an air fryer a good option? It looks like it could do the job.
Otherwise, please recommend me what you think its best.

microwavable is your only answer. you WILL work ONLY to eat hungry mans

>> No.16053843

Air fryer is pretty great. It won’t fix everything, but decent if you do not have a lot of time. Pressure cooker is also a decent option as well.

You can make stuff in like 5-10 minutes easy and clean while it cooks as well. You're just lazy and probably American.

I've been reading about the ninja foodi, it's both of those things but apparently it's impossible to clean the lower part because it's not removable, and they tend to break after some time.

Pressure cooker my guy, you can make like anything in it and it can usually be done in 20-30 mins. Simple recipe is just cut up some potatoes and throw it in a pressure cooker with boneless chicken thighs, some frozen veggies, and some curry. Mix it around and set it for 25 mins on the meat setting and boom. Low effort healthy and flavorful meal.

Bro, since everyone else is mentioning pressure cookers and microwaves, I'm going to bring up slow cookers.

Sounds odd right, a slow cooker for fast cooking? Here me out: find a half decent recipe that doesn't require a lot of attention, and set the whole thing up before you start your shift. By the time you get back, your food with be good to go. Make a decent sized batch, put leftovers in a fridge for the week. Only bit that really needs cleaning is the ceramic inside the slow cooker, which can be easily removed. Slow cookers don't get super hot, so you won't have to worry much about burning your place down (they also have temperature settings), and your food will cook and simmer in whatever flavour you add. Check out some stew recipes to get an idea.

You will occasionally need to take a few steps with a pressure cooker and it will change your life. You can use your weekends for batch cooking and then cook again mid week.

pressure cooker is probably the best move, or regular slow cooker if you don't mind starting it well in advance (before work etc). you may still have to chop some shit up but that isn't a huge effort and in the end it takes the crock pot, a cutting board, and one knife to make practically whatever you put in there. if you're a total low-effort cooklet you can also get seasoning mix packets which comes with low-effort cooklet recipes on them.

what else do you do when you get home at 4pm?
just sit and look at the 4 bare walls of your bedroom until you go to sleep at midnight?
stop making excuses.

also to answer your question, a slow cooker
>cut up veggies etc and put them in the night before bed
>turn it on when you get up for work
>come home 8 hours later to a nice slow-cooked meal
great for roast chicken, ramen broths, hearty stews and soups, curry or simply turning any cheap cut of meat into a delicacy.

also, bonus if you combine this with a rice cooker set on a timer.
can literally come home to a nice meal literally ready to eat when you walk in the door, just serve it up and eat.
leftovers (which you'll have at least 2 or 3 portions of) you can freeze and reheat on other days when you're feeling lazy.

but ok OP, now I've helped you, you have to satiate my curiously.
lay out your daily schedule so we can truly see how much time you're wasting through the day.

Oven on 350f.
Prep your shit.
Wrap in foil. (Look up foil pack dinner.)
Put on baking sheet; oven it.
You've now got about 45 minutes to shower, fap, and dress yourself; no huge problem if it takes an hour.

You can usually prep 2 or 3 at once and fridge the ones you're not cooking now; saves time and cleanup tomorrow... just make sure to give it a full hour in the oven if it's chilled. ("Fap more" is now a valid cooking instruction.)

Just started working myself and I do not have the time to cook. But I was pondering my options.

Microwave is a no go, I only use it to reheat things.
An air fryer is just a convection oven with the downside of less space.
I have a pressure cooker that like other anons here mentioned here makes good flavourfull food. I use mine for stews and broths mainly. But you can make lots of dishes.
Slow cooker, bought this on a whim. Turned out better than expected. Theoretically you could throw in all the ingredients, put it on slow and when you come back its done and warm too.

Also learn how to slice and dice, either that or get a good food processor with lots functions.

If you get to master the prepping part of cooking, times will decrease significantly.
