one of the biggest redpills about food storage and food prep is that almost everything can be frozen despite know-nots saying that freezing ruins food.

sauces, broths, stocks, leftover pasta, bread, bread dough, frozen vegetables and frozen fruit, and even meat if you intend to use it for a stew or soup.

Less know-nots and more people who can't be bothered to work with most of what you listed.

Have you tried freezing a steak and reheat it whole?
Mcdonalds?
Eggs?
You're going to say "of course that's wouldn't work out, but most stuff will." But that's what people WANT to be able to store and eat with minimal effort and little loss in quality, and they have their expectations of freezing lowered when they find out they have to make soups and multiple-ingredient dishes to make it worthwhile.
It's not a good reason, but it is a reason.

what you're saying makes no sense. if you are want to store and eat food with minimal effort then you wouldn't be freezing steaks, eggs, and fast food in the first place. you'd be refrigerating those food items, not freezing them.

and you don't reheat a frozen steak. you're supposed to let it thaw before cooking it. and it thaws in 20 minutes in warmish water. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0ahKON2vNY

and you can cook a frozen steak with good results as shown here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLWsEg1LmaE

why would anyone freeze fast food. fast food is already a minimal effort food that somebody else cooked for you and is ready to eat right away and is made FAST. hence FAST food. the convenience is already there.

inb4 "but steaks don't last in the fridge more than like 5 days."

then don't fridge it for that long. buy the steak and eat it within three days. it's not hard.

>but what if i want to eat my steak NEXT week???
then buy your steak next week instead of buying it so far in advance.

>I can't go to the store next week!
then freeze your steak and thaw it a week later. the quality wont be as good as it would've been if you never froze the steak but it's not like it'll be ruined.

This.

Also, how much freezer space do you have? This feels like flyover general. I have a normal sized fridge and freezer, do the rest of you have a bunch of reach-ins or something?

(I also have a roommate, but by choice so someone's paying most of my mortgage, but gotta share the food space.)
