Day 7 of month Keto.
Food tastes great. Ravenous cravings for carbs left me just a couple days ago. Its been easier to shit. Been real moody in the mornings but I am not sure if that's related.

What experiences have you guys had with Keto? Never altered my diet this heavily before and its sending my body for a loop.

But yeah, keto is great. It's nice not having to put up with feeling hungry all the time only annoying thing is having to cook every meal

I gave myself an obtainable goal so that if I ever had struggles in the middle I could keep the finish line in mind and stick with it until the end. Hopefully by the end I should be accustomed with it and either keep at it without even realizing it or at the very least walk away with some better eating habits.

That's fair enough. It gets easier as time goes on and it'll force you to be a bit creative with what you cook, eventually thinking about the next meal will become less of a headache. I'd recommend getting some fiber in (but you said you were shitting normally so you might not need it), I had to adjust a little bit because I was getting pretty badly constipated. Also avoid fasting on keto because that will make the side effects worse, just eat breakfast and dinner and make sure you eat at least 0.7g/lb of protein, that will also stop you from feeling hungry and mitigate side effects

I've doing it for a few months now and it's been quite helpful. Would recommend

I didn't start it with that in mind, it was just a very surprising side effect and it's very useful for weight loss obviously. That's why it's recommended

Keto, for me, was hard for about 2 weeks. After that its just staying consistent. Don't weigh yourself every day, do you best, eat fruit, drink coffee. You can do it.
When you finish keto, try not to binge on carbs. The weight will pound back on real fast. Ease it in.
Keep it up, ketobros. Regardless of what kind of weightloss technic you use, just do your best. You will make it.

I can not believe you fuckers are still shilling this bullshit diet gimmick fad that has some short term benefits but huge long term dangerous health effects.

a plant based diet with a healthy balance of good complex carbs, good fats, good proteins, and good sugars is far superior to the highly restrictive keto diet, or any other gimmick fad like paleo and south beach and atkins, and so many others.

Instead of avoiding carbs, avoid bad carbs. Eat good carbs. learn the difference.

I'm doing Keto with intermitten fasting, 3 weeks so far, lost 5kg (88kg to 83kg)

I cant think of things to eat, I'm starting to get tired of eating the same everyday. My diet consists of peanut butter, salami, fuet, various cheese, and olives, and very occasionally some chicken or beef. I tried to do something different and made an egg based almond flour bread, but I feel guilty every time I eat it even if it's just two slices a day.

Any food recommendations so I don't go crazy? (Btw, by food choices and low variety comes from me trying to eat less than 20/15 grams of carbs a day)

unironically liver. liverwurst works. ignore people who say to start with "something gentle and easily digested like fruit juice". your endocrine system has been idling for weeks, you do *not* want to hit it with a bunch of carbs right off the bat, you want to give it something that takes awhile to digest, so it can get started up again slowly. and calf and chicken liver also has a lot of minerals and vitamins in it that your own liver will need once you reintroduce carbs.

You can have low carb and low sugar vegetables on keto, and I seriously doubt there’s any long term negative effects of being in ketosis. In fact there’s probably a benefit in being metabolically flexible.
