they're guaranteed to be heavily bruised by loads of people having picked them up and squeezed them. ever since I started buying rock hard avocadoes and waiting a couple days until they've ripened, I've gotten perfect avocadoes all the time. when you're checking the softness of your avocadoes at home, don't squeeze them too hard, and also just squeeze them at the top and bottom.

Buying rock hard cados is just retarded. Learn how to figure out if they're ripe then fridge em for up to a 4-5 days. Squeeze gently, they should give slightly under your fingers. Once you found a likely candidate, do picrel to confirm.
I have a 100% success rate and can eat them the same day like a Chad if I so choose, instead of waiting for my fruit to be ready like some beta virgin.

I planted one months ago and it's gotten huge. They seem to like lots of light.

I'm not sure what the stones will do just lying in the dirt. I got mine to sprout by half-submerging it in a jar of water. Elastic bands around the stone can keep it from falling in. It might take a week or two to put down a taproot.
