Whats the food that reminds you of your youth?

For me its stew that has been brewing for one whole sunday.

chicken nuggets. i would always microwave a fuckload and tuck them into tinfoil for lunch. theyd get a little moist and cool by lunch time and smell a little dif but i ate them nearly everyday

I like super soft mushy carrots cooked in the same liquid as the salty ham.

Also my nan's chicken casseroles are a taste of nostalgia for me

I grew up eating meals that looked EXACTLY like this, minus the butter (we had margarine).
Probably pretty healthy, but not really something that has left me with fond memories.

Potato and cheddar pierogi. My grandma would make them every weekend and bring them over. My mom makes them just as well but she only does it for holidays. I miss grandma.
