What is the best fried chieck recipe you know and are there any tips at all?
I have made fried chicken before but it never compares to KFC and it is more than just the flavour but how the breading sticks.
I used to work at KFC and the way it was made was marinated chicken (for hot and spicy) put into a tub of flour and spices after being dipped in water so the creading sticks and repeating the flouring again.

How can I make actually good fried chicken?
When you learn to cook things you always learn little tricks beyond what any recipe would say so any tips?

No such thing as good home made fried chicken.

KFC purchase meat that is designed to be deep fried. The stuff you buy in retail outlets is literally supplemented with extra water to make it 'sizzle' in the pan - it can be up to 10% water in the UK. This destroys the frying properties. Causes the skin to pop and explode if you try to deep fry it. makes it taste like watered down meat because it literally is. In some parts of the world its up to 30% added water.

Garbage in garbage out. They call it plumping the meat.

If you try to deep fry chicken in the home. Don't. Simple as. If you try to coat and fry chicken in the pan it burns. Simple as.

Order KFC. pay the ferry man. Save yourself years of wasted effort man.

TLDR there are no good recipes.

Just Eat in the UK is delivering for free for over £5 purchases from KFC, at least in some parts of the UK. No doubt they add a little to the prices to make up and there is a £1 service fee on top of the order, but makes cooking fried chicken at home redundant.

I prefer ordering from my KFC than going to the local pizza place which really doesn't compare.

You will need a candy thermometer or deep fat frying thermometer for this
If you buy a whole chicken and cut it up yourself try to get one under 4 1/2 pounds or even slightly under four pounds if you can
after you have all the pieces you are going to prepare take about a cup and a half of flour and mix in course ground black pepper, ground white pepper and celery salt. don't use too much just a teaspoon and a half of each at the most
Dip the pieces in the mixture until it is completely covered and set aside
Mix in a cup of instant mashed potato flakes with the flour
Take three or four separated egg whites and beat them with a hand mixer until they just start to form peaks
Drop the chicken in the egg until it is soaked all the way around and then take out and immediately back in the flour mixture until covered completely
Heat a large pot of vegetable oil to about 300 F and put the pieces in one at a time being sure it doesn't boil over and burn your house down
Turn the temperature down as you are putting the pieces in so it doesn't spike up and try to keep it as close to 300 as possible the whole time
After everything is in don't touch it at all for like three minutes but after that start moving the pieces around every couple of minutes so the pieces closer to the bottom don't burn
Don't put so much in there so you can't move the pieces around or the pieces stick together
Cook for 18 minutes, slightly less for small pieces like wings and a little longer for breasts

Marinate chicken overnight in buttermilk and your favorite hot sauce (yeah hot sauce fuck off epic memerz).

Take the chicken and cover in egg wash and then dip in flour and then back in the wash and then into panko or any kind of plain bread crumbs. I tried cheese infused bread crumbs once and it was shit, the oil burned the cheese too fast to just stick to the regular stuff.

Take a big pot and fill with canola or vegetable oil, raise temp to about 350 degrees, you will need a temperature gauge of some kind.

Fry until golden brown, let dry on elevated rack, dispose of oil responsibly when done, serve and enjoy.
