Ale is infinitely better than lager at this point. More variety in ale styles by a mile. Their are so many new strains of ale yeast these days that ferment clean and in 1/4 of the time as lager yeast and you’d never know the difference as long as you condition the beer for a couple weeks. See kolsch or pseudo lagers with kviek.

A lagered clean ale > traditional lager
