HEY FAT BOI
WANNA LOSE 20 POUNDS BY AUGUST WITHOUT LIFTING A FINGER OR MOVING A MUSCLE?

No carb, no sugar.

That’s right, that’s all there is to it. Normies on suicide watch. Capitalism requires you to fuel up on these two things to run but you don’t.

You can eat just the same and lose 20 pounds in a month on /nocanos/.

>b-but anon, there’s carbs in everything! A-also how do you even d-define sugar?!

Nigga shut the front door! You know exactly what I’m talking about. I’M TALKIN…
>No bread
>No pasta
>No potatoes
>No rice
AND…
>No soda
>No juice
>No creamer
>No fruit
YOU KNEW WHAT I MEANT.

>MUH KETTTOOOOOOOOOOO MUHHHHH KEEEEEEEETOIIIIIIIDDDDDSSSSSSS NOT THE HECKIN KETORINO
Nigga /nocanos/ isn’t keto. It’s not about ketogenesis, and it’s not CARBOHYDRATE BAD. It’s a simple heuristic that causes people to lose weight in a short period of time. Everything has carbs. Everything has some sugar. You know what foods to cut out this month, big boi!

>b-b-but anon, muh food pyrami-
BITCH SUCK MA PROTEIN

>anon, if you take out carb and sugar for 30 days, what remains?
That’s exactly what this thread is for. ITT we list good ass dishes that employ the use of neither carb nor sugar, and post the corresponding recipe in the thread. We also support each other’s progress n shiiet so get the fuck in here

Its really not about counting calories or at least doesn't have to be. When this diet gets prescribed for weight loss or diabetes the clinicians generally just say to eat to satiety provided you are not consuming any carbohydrate rich foods. Green vegetables are all fine but should be paired with some fat like butter or olive oil. Fruits are mostly high carb and fructose so you should be a bit restrictive with them or at least consume lower sugar fruits like kiwis and berries instead of bananas and the like. It also depends how extreme you want to go with the carbohydrate restriction. You could initially just try substituting healthier carbohydrates e.g. baked potato instead of white flour and polished white rice, and see where that gets you.

I'm guessing this is a bait but maybe not so I'll answer seriously, no. The fat and protein of the cheese lower the GI of the total meal but the dough is white flour which is quite high GI and should be eaten infrequently if you're trying to watch your weight and or blood sugar.
>>16383132
Like I said its not about counting calories. The reason carbohydrate restriction works is different than just CICO. Generally lowering carbohydrate consumption in the diet will increase your BMR a decent bit which will also likely increase your impulse to exercise. Along with this many people also report being much less hungry between meals on this type of diet even if they are eating similar amount or less calories. The thinking is that the lower insulin allows you to burn more of your fat stores for fuel instead of constantly needing glucose from consuming carbohydrate.
>>16383145
It really depends on the type of rice or bread. Some heirloom wheat have more protein and fiber and are much lower GI than normal white flour that make up most bread and pasta.

Isn’t it hard to cook wings, legs or thighs on a pan because of the shape? Especially if you’re not using oil.

Every time I try I have to keep holding it in place myself otherwise it just rolls over, and then some parts end up overcooked and some undercooked so I just end up using the oven

>> No.16383964

Any study showing that the carbohydrate restriction is still necessary when only consuming whole foods? I can understand for someone consuming 500g of carbs per day with junk food that they're going to have to cut way back, but eating whole foods is also going to naturally act as a form of restriction. Like it'd be easy for someone to get an extra 100g of carbs from drinking a few sodas but trying to get 100g of carbs from whole fruit won't be as quick and easy.

>> No.16384076

>>16383964
From what I've seen the dietary clinical trials that compare high and lower carbohydrate diets still do tell the participants to eat mainly "healthy" carbohydrates like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. In fact the Women's Health Initiative was designed with this in mind. The intervention group was a low calorie low fat diet high in healthy "carbohydrates" yet the results were quite underwhelming. I won't say much beyond that because anytime I comment on that study here it becomes too contentious.

Above is a critique of how the results were reported and the conclusions drawn from the study that you can read and decide for yourself if you find credible.

>> No.16384230

>>16384076
Hmm. I was just wondering more about how it would work if you weren't specifically restricting or allowing anything and told people to eat whatever they wanted as long as it was minimally processed, what the carb intake would end up like. Like I eat however much whole wheat bread I want as my main source of carbs and my intake ends up being what is considered low carb by some.

I can see the issues with the diet in the study though because to be on a low fat diet mainly eating fruits/vegetables/grains you're probably going to feel unsatisfied and have to make it a point to eat that way instead of really enjoying it and wanting to. I see a lot of people trying to eat that way to get healthier but their body is just craving fat and protein, and then they end up binging on junk food due to frustration that the "proper" healthy diet isn't working the way they want it to so they just give up.

I like it because it's already cut and fast to just drop them in hot water and they are done in like 1 minute. It's also way cheaper than fresh. I eat it for almost every meal because I replace rice/rice/potatoes with a mix of different veggies. It would be such a hassle to use fresh.
