Munchie Boxes are more a Scottish thing.
Super affordable and fantastic. Come in all sorts of forms, typically it's the classic bit of everything from a takeaway; pizza, chicken, fries, onion rings, more chicken, garlic bread, more chicken and donna meat. Sometimes it's breakfast like pic and othertimes it's Chinese. Always comes with 2 cans of pop.Swear the one I had in Edinburgh was like £8 and could easily feed 2 fatties or 4+ normies

English takeaways regretfully fucked it up. Miss good items out and charge £20+

Adding to this because it's the only serious reply, it would massively depend on where in the country you get it from, and in some cases what time of year

I live in the south in a touristy area, so during summer the prices of every cafe go up about 50%, to put it on parity with most of the city prices.

A breakfast like that would cost probably like 6.99 near me in the off season, like £10 in the nearest small city, and could probably go for up to £20 in london Since london prices are retarded.

1 pound is currently about $1.40, so that should be easy to work out

>>16413855
Really it depends, there's excellent coffee around in the UK but you're better off going to a specific coffee shop if that's what you want. At the sort of place you'd get a Full english munchie box the traditional is a mug of extremely sweet and milky tea, but they'll have instant as well. There's a slightly more upmarket place I go to whenever I want a breakfast that does have a proper Barista there, and even some nice cake, but you get your breakfast on a plate rather than a pizza box. I really like the eggs there though, they make them perfectly there. I fucking hate how most places burn the shit out of eggs and make them bubbly

Honestly even if they get the stuff from a supermarket and not from a specialty supplier, stuff like bacon, sausages and eggs are cheap enough that you'd still make a profit. The sort of eggs they use cost £1.20 for 15, Bacon is 6 thick slices for a pound. Sausages depend on quality, but if you want super cheap you can get 20 for a pound. Most breakfast places get nicer ones though because that's where the taste varies the most out of all the ingredients

Are you American? British beans are different. American ones have like, BBQ flavouring, brown sugar and some kind of pork and smoke flavour. British ones are more subtle and less sweet, and the sauce is usually thinner. The beans sort of act like food lube and also add a much needed vegetable for fiber into the mix

Oh I'm not saying you have to use bad ingredients, it's just that they do in these cheap greasy spoon places, and sometimes the leathery skin of a deep fried frozen sausage with 20% meat content is just what you want

Personally when making my own, I use nice cumberland sausages and get thick cut bacon from the butchers. The bacon is vital because I fucking hate the supermarket stuff that's for some reason filled with a swimming pool's worth of water it immediately floods into the pan

Free range good eggs though are vital on any fry up. The super cheap eggs I used to get as a student just taste like snot now that I've had eggs that are actually good

Around about 6-8 quid for that much probably
>How common is it?
Extremely common, takeaways everywhere that are usually open until 3 am
>Is it popular?
Among drunkards and people who wear tracksuits yes
>Is it based?
No. It's pure gunk so you'll enjoy it if you enjoy fast food, but it's very low quality frozen ingredients designed to earn quick profits off of drunk people. That photo in particular looks like it's using bogstandard frozen fish fingers.
Most of the time, the fried food comes out soggy - it's never crispy. The meat is usually very rubbery and shit. IRN BRU is also pretty bad, and I'm saying that as a Scottish person

That's not even the half of it, whenever my dad was away she'd get herself a takeaway and throw a box of fish fingers in the oven for me and my sister. My brother was her favourite so he got a takeaway too

Me and my sister to this day can't stand mince. My mum would throw a pound of mince in a pot, roughly chop a couple of potatoes and a carrot, then maybe a can of sweetcorn if we were lucky, and boil for hours. We weren't even allowed pepper or brown sauce or anything. Meanwhile she and my brother would be eating a pizza or a chinese or something

We told my dad about it but then she just started treating us worse, until they divorced and me and my sister went with him. I was only 12 then but it got me into cooking at least
