how many other ingredients can go into a quesadilla before it just become a taco

>> No.16450176

at least 1

>> No.16450183

It really depends on how you define ingredient

A quesadilla can't be a taco no matter how many ingredients you put in. They're prepared differently.

thanks for the lunch inspiration I'm under the weather and just wanted something easy and yummy
I just did straight cheese and mashed up avocado on too

I think quesadillas are best with just cheese. Like a grilled cheese sandwich. Adding chicken or whatever ruins the texture and concept of it just being a quick snack.

I disagree. I love a quesadilla with chicken and pico in it.

>> No.16451467

Never because the difference between the two isnt ingredients.

I am sick of motherfucking places calling their breakfast tacos breakfast burritos. If i hold it up and all of the ingredients fall out then its a taco. If its wrapped up and the ingredients dont fall out then its a burrito. No exceptions.

>> No.16451912

>>16451467
No no no. Burritos are defined by having rice or not. If it has rice in it, it's a burrito. If it doesn't, then it's something else

Why didn't anyone tell me the chipotle quesadillas were good. It's their best item, since it's actually hot not lukewarm. It is what Taco Bell should be. Yes, it's $10 but you get a decent amount, together with three actually good-tasting sides, and there is a lot of meat and cheese.

>> No.16453479

>>16451459
You can put pico de gallo on the side like picrel. All the sides you can eat it with will make it as varied as a taco with all of them already inside.

the fuck are you talking about faggot. Rice doesnt belong in a burrito

>> No.16453501

This. Beans don't belong in a burrito either. If you want rice and beans, eat rice and beans. They do not a burrito make.

I just had potato tacos today. I had no idea that existed. It's like mashed potatoes and melted cheese inside a fried tortilla. So cheesy so good.

Ok now you once add lettuce I would say lettuce call this a taco! Haha lettuce sounds like "let us" get it?
I'd say that lettuce is the thin line that diffenerates the tacos frim the quesadillas

Look they make them in the same places and they're clearly different and I can't tell you why exactly. Let me try. The taco tortilla is round and it's served flat with the toppings on top while the quesadilla tortilla is oblong and is folded while it cooks so it retains that shape.

Alright, it's the shape. If it could be rolled into a tube, it's a taco, otherwise it's a quesadilla. Thin steak never goes on quesadillas, and I guess all available fillings can go into tacos but most are reserved for quesadillas.

>>16453908
You're not wrong in that all of this type of Mexican food, garnachas, is extremely similar, and they all have a lot of names for basically the same thing because of regional differences. If you add the extra layers of marketing to americans and turning it into fast food products, you end up with the taco bell chalupa, that actually resembles the gordita, and the gordita, that resembles hell on earth.

QUESADILLA PRO-TIP:
Make a sauce of equal parts sour cream, taco sauce, and roasted diced green chiles. Spread on your tortillas before adding cheese and cooking. Thank me later.
