i have two funny stories for you
one is that the pastor was saying something and then segues to "and we've got a little mini celebrity in our crowd right now!" and gestures at jack who does that whole cheeky grin rubbing the back of your head thing. it was very brief
the second story is that his son was hanging out with a bunch of the older teens. i don't think they were making fun of him or anything, just joking and talking about whatever. but then jack comes stomping over and he's like "JACK JR! GET AWAY FROM THOSE BOYS THIS INSTANT!" or whatever his son's name was. and he just meekly returned to his dad. very bizarre

The guy who was the pastor, murray Davis, was caught running from the scene of a thrill kill in his late teens. He should have been executed but his parents were church members/friends of one of the jurors and he wasnt condemned to death becauae the jury wasnt unanimous. Murray took this sparing of his life as a sign from God to become born again. He uses it as an inspirational story/an appeal to salvation through grace alone and people who don't like evangelicals can ironically point to it as an indicator of how he's bad because he did a bad thing not because they hate evangelicals.

I'm pretty sure he sells tapes of a sermon all about it and he used to tour as a guest pastor at churches talking about it. This is old tism so I could be wrong about that. Either way it makes some sense to keep real life murder stories away from kids. I've heard he doesn't give much details in it ( I haven't seen it), but it was ironically a Sunday School teacher he decapitated.

The sauce mobile is his van, which had advertising decals of his sauce on the windows.

Have you watched his road trip gorilla grill videos? He takes another couple from the church, mitch and woman, to taste test burgers in various nearby venues. It's pretty bad and not really entertaining ironically or earnestly but if you even distantly know the people it might be worth checking out.
