>lack of any searing on the outside of the steak
>straight up pussy pink meat
Did this r/etard cook the steak for a few minutes and then cut it up for their pointless e-points? As it appears so.

I'm guessing it was a sous vide and he pussied out on giving it an actual sear.

the awkward uniform cook, miserable sear & overall look of it suggests that this steak was cooked by one of those hipster peabrains whom are part of a collective of similar-minded people trying to redefine the baseline for what a medium-rare steak is over the past decade or so.....there are people like that on 4chan as well BTW. these three visual-indicators outline a common-trait amongst these amateur cooks--a lot of them are afraid to cook food on a higher-heat setting and--while this steak may have been on the element for as long as a typical medium-rare steak--it has come out a soppy, miserable mess. for someone who isn't a complete pussy like these guys, its almost impossible to get a uniform cook on a medium-rare steak that isn't non-ribcut chuck because of the heat required to get a nice sear on it. pic related is what medium-rare looks like, notice how the outside isn't completely Malliard-impaired and the textural-difference between the inside and outside as the result of the cook. if you disagree with anything I just said then you are a soyboy as well

Betting it was cooked with a meme sous vide method instead of being seared on a properly heated cast iron.

Lol at all that grey banding.

Pro tip: you can get a nice sear, AND actually cook the steak evenly, not winding up with some chunks well done and others raw like your pic of what a "real steak" should look like.
