Look, I was just talking about the four fags. He's not great, either. I think you're missing one of his reasons for not learning certain techniques, though: yeah, you might spend a minute more per day at the quantities of prep you'd do as a home cook vs. several hours per week of payroll you'd lose as a chef; obviously, if you tally this time up over a long period of time, it's going to look huge, but could you really do anything else in a day with that extra 60 seconds? Even if it was 10 minutes (a huge stretch), there's no way 99% of people could squeeze something worthwhile out of that. Similar thing to retards putting sweet n low in their coffee: yeah, you save 30 calories per cup. Multiplied by a year at three cups a day, that's 33,000 calories, or about 10 lbs of weight lost! You could lose 40 lbs with no effort during a bachelor degree! Except it doesn't fucking work like that because of the losses of ebb and flow.

A lot of it is just food porn. Get a good camera and show the right shots, but also don't be a faggot that tries too hard. A good example of someone that tries way too hard to keep up with trends and make people like him is Not Another Cooking Show. You also want to make sure you're offering some kind of insight that leads to the REAL deliciousness of the dish, and without your insight it just won't be real/right/authentic/whatever.
