No Im not an expat. Normal Swiss guy.
>>17168704
Yeah theyre really good
>>17168729
I dont really have energy to cook too much but I do sometimes. Also im actually member of a local gym and I visit it regularly. My depression comes and goes in waves and there are days where I cant even get out of bed, let alone cook and others where I clean my apartment and take some time to prepare something simple like spaghetti with self made sauce.
>>17168736
>>17168742
Yeah Im from Switzerland. I just like eating like that lol. I will however as I said sometimes take my time to prepare something simple but self made. Pasta with self made sauce or rice with fresh meat and vegetables and shit. But my gf left me so Im used to having someone cook for me, I have to adapt now. I tried to make pasta with shrimps and spinach for some reason because its all I had yesterday and it turned out shit. I just accepted that Im a shit cook and the pre-prepared food is at least consistent

Also this here is actually a legit Swiss dish. Although pre-made, still tasty. Throw a fried egg on top and youre good to go

Just keep cooking anon. Fortunately I had a lot of time to learn to cook thanks to lockdowns. I went from making 2/10 dishes, that were pretty much just substance, to eye popping 8/10 dishes. Now I'm using shit I hadn't even heard of 2 years ago.

Trips of truth. Did the same thing when I realized all I did was eat out or cook frozen meals. Now I meal prep my food and regularly get compliments at work on how good my food looks and smells, it's all practice and being able to fuck up a meal and learn from it for next time.

I mostly started with casseroles/stir frys. Pretty much whatever you can easily throw together. Breakfast bowls are great too. Always make enough to last 2 or 3 days just incase you relapse and decide you don't want to cook a certain day. Don't go overboard with fresh ingredients unless you know you're going to use them. I wasted a lot of food buying fresh shit and then not wanting to cook for a week. Cooking a meal is basically all I look forward to now.

Why? Cuz of the pasta I bought? Dont forget that Switzerland is basically a mix of German, French and Italian culture and cuisine mixed in with its own little modifications

No fresh meat, fresh veggies, fruits, what can you even cook with all that? It’s just stuff to have handy in the pantry, pasta and rice. Too much frozen stuff

>> No.17169892

Yeah I will try to change it up next time but I just wanted some comfy foods that I can prepare without much effort. Gf left me so I just want to be cozy and munch on some nuggies or some shit lol while laying in bed and watching movies

Afaik it’s supposed to make the number more distinguishable from capital i and lower case l if you have letter/numeral combinations hand written. A German mailman told me this, make of it what you will.
