It's a soft oversized hot bun with a thin burger in it, steamed onions, yellow mustard, and a hamburger pickle. They're packed into a rectangular box that just fits the bun which keeps them warm slightly longer. They're neither revolting or amazing, it's just fast food.
So much of them is the bun even women and kids can eat several at a time so they have a "glutton food" reputation. Even though I think in terms of calorie density the beef is so thin it's like eating 3-4 hamburger buns and a half a normal beef hamburger patty to fill up on them.

Wanted to go to one for years just to try it. Was in NYC and got to go and it was probably the worst fast food I've had in my life. The burgers are greasy which is to be expected but with a regular burger there's bun under it to soak up some grease. With the sliders it becomes a crappy little patty sitting on a greasy little pile of what used to be a bottom bun. Plus the dining room was absolutely filthy and full of basketball people and their 6 kids getting their meal for the day. Gonna go one more time if i find one to see if i just happened to end up at the worst white castle ever but from what i hear, i had an average experience.

There's something strange about white castle and the people it attracts, both customers and employees.

It's bottom of the barrel food quality. The store is never dirty but always feels slightly unclean. Also there's always one employee that's friendly in a good way and genuinely friendly. How do I make white castle burgers? Lets say I want to make 2-3 medium sized white castle style burgers.

Is it just this:

>Take a small ball of ground beef and flatten it until its thin
>Heat pan
>Throw onions in pan with oil on medium heat

Certain people that work at White Castle are slow. Sorry but they are. I am not using a slur I'm just saying they are all slow as fuck and suck at their jobs. And I can't just use another White Castle because for some reason every single person that works there is slow and looks the same regardless of location. I've never actually seen one, but I remember my dad always got their frozen sliders when I was a kid so I've had a million of them. My friend used to love driving there and grabbing the Crave Crate when he was high.
