I have all my burners on and quickly slide the pan around the cooktop to get lots of movement in the dish while being able to quickly adjust heat control. It helps integrate the flavors and makes the room really hot. (I like a hot kitchen it makes my dog pant haha)

Fair. Same here. That mostly has more to do with the arrangement of my kitchen than anything.

As a red blooded American that has lived in the south, the Midwest, the southwest, the Rocky Mountains, and now the PNW, every stove at every place I’ve lived at has the same configuration of large front right, medium front left, two/three small burners in back, and occasionally a warming plate (whatever the fuck that means) in the middle back. Not really. Most have a large burner front left, medium front right, and either the opposite in the back, or three smaller ones. You can kind of dick with the relays on electric stoves to keep certain burners on longer, but this particular one was a gas stove, and I wasn't prepared to do surgery on a gas range with a two-ring split burner.

For me, it's the center burner. Good sized burner (not the monster burner on the front right and not the burnerlet in the top right) and it's safer since it's less likely to tip over off the stove and cover my bare feet in 400 degree peanut oil.
