what's the single best sushi roll you've ever had? bonus points if you have a picture of it, a location name, or ingredients listed.

my favorite is the Yaki Toro as found at the privately-owned franchise Kashi Sushi, which I had in Bellmore New York (ritzy suburb of Long Island). it has crabmeat, kani salad avocado inside, topped w. Toro flamed touched, truffle soy reduction

i have never had a roll quite this good despite being a sushi glutton across my life. i never had a favorite roll before. i don't live in New York so I probably will never get to have it again. what about you? what sushi roll reigns supreme?

There's a roll at a place here that does an eel roll with tempura shrimp inside, topped with this smokey Chipotle lime sauce. It sounds weird but it's really goddamn good.

The best sushi I ever had was a yellowtail scallion roll at a local place in NJ. The fish was just so incredibly fresh and delicious I had an out of body experience.

So I pay in total exactly 17.79. I used to order more, but one day I ate so much sushi that I ended up vomiting into the sink. It wasn't the fish, I could tell that it was the amount of food based on previous overeating experience with different types of food (pizza, Chinese food).

Used to go to Katsu-Ya and just get their good squid rolls, but now Katsu-Ya is shit. Not to mention that they are super pushy on masks and being vaccinated.
I do like Kura’s squid rolls, but I’ve just taken the Black pill and just get those lunch specials with the spicy tuna rolls from those places with names like “California BBQ Sushi Plus Bowl Oh oh Teriyaki Sushi and More”

Maido in Lima, Peru. I'm not a big fan of traditional japanese sushi style, but I like the more original stuff. I've tried good sushi in the US, but too pricy and doesn't get close to what you can taste in South America. And on top of that, the nikkei cuisine (peruvian-japanese fusion) just obliterates any othe type of competition
