I remember getting the turtle soup at TuJaques at that time. One of my earliest memories of NOLA, a frequent haunt of my parents for weekend trips. I think I remember the soup for the fact that the shotglass of sherry was only drizzled on top a few drops before removed from my plate by my parents.

I think T. Pittari's was taken out by flooding pre 1980 and was already on it's way out on the final day which had 2 feet of water.

Tujaques. the oldest restaurant in the country, still the oldest wooden bar in the country is/was was an old timey, always a prix fixe menu typically, with whatever the chef felt like cooking that day. the below was a Revillion menu (Christmas season, with throwback recipes.

I mean I'm probably gonna have to try the tiger steak, but they question is if it's gonna be wild tiger or farm raised tiger. I'd imagine tigers in the wild are lean mean hunting machines, so there's probably not much fat content like a cow or lamb. I'll try anything for the novelty, who knows it might good.
