Which fast food items would you rather cook yourself, and which would you rather get from an establishment?

Fried chicken just because it makes a mess, and it needs to be fresh so if I want it I have to make it or order it then. It was nice in Korea with tons of fried chicken, and now I can't even find it. But you know, a fried chicken place might make good money if it's the only one.

All of them. Don't start retarded threads like these. I want my own wheat, my own buns, I want to grow my own lettuce and tomatoes. I want to pickle my own gherkins and make my own ketchup. I have all of these. I don't need you at all.

Fast food is good for anything fried. It saves you the trouble of dealing with large amounts of fry oil, having a deep fryer or mess wok setup, and saves you the waste from breading stuff. Major labor savings here.

Sandwiches (unless fried) are the goto for making at home. Super easy to make, you can keep all the ingredients in the fridge, and if you want it toasted you have plenty of options: oven broiler, toaster oven, air fryer, etc. Microwave is there for heating ingredients if needed.

Hard to make soups are great to do at restaurants. Things like pho, ramen, bisques, and so on. These things take lots of time, so having it made for you is great.

Burgers and steaks should always be made at home. Both fast food and restaurants are fucking you here. They just can't deliver the quality a home cook can, period.

Pizza is definitely a restaurant thing, just because doing it at home requires expensive custom setups to do right. To even compete you need a dedicated pizza oven and then all the proofing equipment and time to do that crap. And the pizza oven only does 1 thing: pizza. Not to mention you have to get super autistic about the process & ingredients. At least a grill makes many good things.

Sushi is one of the other things that is better to leave to a restaurant. I've tried making it myself, and it is definitely harder (and riskier) to do yourself. Not to mention supply issues with finding proper sushi grade fish.

It's just fucking rice with fish and whatever else you want (another argument is favor of making it at home) that you have to roll together, it doesn't get a lot easier than that. I get going to the restaurant to eat sushi with fancy, raw fish in it, but making it at home is easy as fuck. The fish does not have to be raw either if you're scared. Not to mention you're getting absolutely ripped off at the restaurant, homemade sushi is an order of magnitude cheaper.

how tf did the slants manage to psyop retarded yt people into thinking they can't eat raw fish at home and need to go to their restaurants to have some mexican stuff it into a roll for $9 a pop? 'sush-grade' fish is not a thing. there is no regulated standard. all fish sold in the US has to be flash frozen to kill parasites. Stuff like farmed atlantic salmon is virtually guaranteed to not contain any parasites anyway.
