Swordfish. I liked it, the flavor was super mild but really nice. It was surprisingly firm when grilled on its own, and it went fantastic in a stir-fry. I always snag it when I can find it. Though apparently it has a shit load of mercury so not an every day thing.

I had shark once but it was likely not properly prepared as I cooked it myself. I was working as the meat clerk at a kroger when I was a senior and like most of us were doing I rang up my purchase of $10.99/lb shark as beef suet which I think rang at 0.29/lb back then so it was essentially free.

My mate bought some crocodile for the hell of it, I cooked it in a pan, and then we ate pieces of it with our hands, dipping it in a bit of franks hot sauce. Probably not the most obscure animal ever but it was very tasty, bit like pork in the sense that it can retain it's texture while being quite moist.

I had goat brain. It was exactly as you described. Just basically this fatty substance that resembles scrambled eggs. Not great, but the masala helped it feel like you're having decadent spicy scrambled eggs.

I tried Pokkaan (some large sized cat which preys on chickens). Poor man's vediyirachi (dried indian beef jerky eaten with booze). Still used as touchings by rural alcoholics. For westerner fags thats basically mountain lion. It tastes great and you better believe that rural alcoholics know how to cook up a nice meat

i grew up in new orleans and had gator more times than i can count, it can be good and so so fucking bad, usually it's shit. i never actually learned how to cook or butcher it properly so i'm not sure what combination of cut or preparation makes for good gator.
i lived in the part of the city that got destroyed and overgrown after katrina, so we used to hunt and fish a lot and eat a lot of small game like raccoons, possums, rabbits, feral chickens, nutria, frogs and snakes.
