I have a sad childhood memory with these. The last time I ate these was at some ice skating place. Together with warm chocolate milk and whipped cream. While eating I realized how happy I was and that we would soon be going home. I realized how fast time is going being there with my family, eating together and I felt this dread seeping into me of death and the passing of time being inevitable. Couldn't stop crying the moment I finished my plate till falling asleep at night.
got into the same crying fit when I lost my first tooth, I didn't want to grow up and for things to change in life.

Didn't end up well. 25 yo virgin, never finished high school or am able to connect with other people, hold a conversation or eye contact. Went to psych ward a few times. Don't really have family in this country. Forced to work at restaurant which I hate. Working soon at new job in a fruit cutting factory, hope I can save and earn a lot by working 60, 70 hrs a week and find a place to live, rent or find guts to kms.

nervetti salad is a common hors d'oeuvre in Italy.
it's basically leg cartilage and tendons boiled until very tender, cooled down, diced, mixed with vegetables (the most common are onions and pickled bell peppers, but you could add beans, capers, gherkins...), and then seasoned with salt, pepper, minced parsley, olive oil and vinegar.
