I've vomited enough blood and had enough multiple day hangovers/seizure fits in my life to know that filtering can be a meme but not if done right. Most importantly you want multiple multiple distillation cycles to ensure you're getting pure ethanol blended with water. At least when it comes to swill. Vodka for me the best is tasteless. You can get that with Titos and I haven't had anything more expensive that is any better. Make sure you do a blind taste test, you would be shocked how much the label affects your perception of something. Smirnoff deadass tastes like Grey Goose. There's a big difference between the worst vodka and middle shelf vodka. There's not much difference between middle shelf and top shelf vodka. You can get middle shelf vodka that's just as good or better than top shelf as well. Costco vodka is the best deal there is for an alcoholic.
