Healthwise yeah, it's pretty bad for you if you eat it often
Tastewise it's actually good. Not the best burger you'll ever eat of course but pretty damn tasty for something you can walk up to a kiosk and have in your hands in 3 minutes.
People love to claim they don't like it because it's "cool" to hate anything popular and they get some sort of pretentiousness street cred for not liking "slop" but at the end of the day this is slop that's been engineered in a lab for decades to taste as good as possible, of course it's going to turn out decent. Yuppie hipsters like it when they give it a chance, they're just too embarrassed to admit it.

I would like to tell you nothing gross happens behind the scenes. Because that's the way I like to keep it I take cooking as a profession and handling people's food very seriously. I always see people though always take shortcuts and make it easier for themselves. keep in mind a lot of people working here are underpaid teenagers working part time. Who have highschool to go to still. Who don't know how shitty a construction job for the same wage bracket can be. The floors are filthy as fuck but sometimes if they drop a utensil they will put it right back. Sometimes boxes fall on the floor. People rarely wash their hands. The wash is a mess and I'm the only person who actually makes sure there is no "residue" for lack of better term. Nobody changes their gloves out.

ya they p terrible. i think the breakfast is ok, not good but relatively better than the rest of the menu. other than that the best meal they serve is probably the double quarter pounder because even though the meat is below mediocre it is still better for the ratio of meat to that awful bun and tastes ok, even if it will give you a headache and nausea halfway through. the chicken is pretty terrible, you definitely notice somethings off while eating it and from working there i can tell you the meat we use for the chicken is grey and homogenous and probably came from chickens who lived like shit and were pumped full of chemicals. a lifetime of confinement and shitty eating has to affect the end product in a major way. the crispy chicken might not be that bad, definitely better than the mcchicken or nuggets but idk if it's the breading or they actually use fresher meat, even if it is different i doubt the difference is substantial though. never tried the fish. fries are whatever, i don't see the hype since they switched to vegetable oil it's not really better than anywhere else. avoid the sweet drinks on the menu, all the ice creams/shakes are unnatural sugary garbage and taste like shitty oil mixed with diabetes. and like all other fast food places they never clean the drink machine so you're better off buying a can of coke or whatever if that's what you want.

I dont like McdDonalds food.
Used to Like it as a kid. When i got into puberty i just never really went there.

Nowadays im in my 30s and i eat at Mcdonalds once a year. At summercamp with my scoutsgroup. Every time i ate Mcdonalds my heart would start racing. i would sweat and be short of breath.
I mostly got it from the burgers. not the drinks or fries.

Anyone else recognize this?

It varies from place to place. My neighborhood is a dirty ghetto shithole, and the food quality at the McDonald's close to where I live reflects that. The one near my workplace, on the other hand, is actually pretty decent in comparison.

The fries are dry and bad
The milkshakes somehow have an odd consistency and a cheap, processed flavour. Despite the fact that you can just stick ice cream, milk, bananas etc in a blender and make a better one, McDonalds manages to fuck this up in some obscure way
The burger patties are very thin
The burger buns have a light consistency like the bread is semi brioche or something, it should be good but it feels cheap and hollow

The big names of fast food are lame as hell
I have a kebab place near me where you can also get burgers, and they have KFC style chicken too. It is literally next door to a KFC, the chicken is better despite the fact it is one of many things they sell, and KFC is a worldwide chain dedicated to chicken. This handful of literally who guys next door is outperforming KFC
