No clue. I just ate an egg earlier, and right after, I had this awful cough, and my throat felt like it was sealed up practically. And no, the eggs were not expired. They're still good for 3 more weeks

Your cells replenish every 7 years. It's not uncommon to pick up a new allergy when this occurs. I use to get covered in epoxy at work then one day, after not using it for a year or so, my body would swell up wherever it came into contact.

people don't just shed their cells every 7 years like some snake shedding its skin anon. think for a minute before posting dumb shit like this please.

I never said it happened at 7 years, it's a process that takes 7 years.

Uhh the way it works with eggs is you need to make sure it's fully cooked and not raw at all.
You could eat anti-histamine too anyway.

I doubt you are suddenly "allergic" to eggs though. It's something else.

Yolks, whites, or both? My mom got allergic to whites only, so she buys powdered yolks for eggy things. She can still have whole eggs in cookies. There isn’t that much white in a couple of cookies.

It isn't. Normal people don't develop allergies as they get older.

I was the exact opposite, went from not being able to eat eggs as a kid without breaking out to eggs being one of my primary sources of calories as I got /fit/
That being said, one of my friend’s suddenly developed a mushroom allergy out of nowhere at age 50, so I believe you anon

What are your symptoms? I'm not sure if it's an allergy, but I have an egg intolerance. When I eat them with nothing else, I'll get nauseas like 15 minutes later. I've found eating them with a condiment or salsa reduces the intolerance.

Sorry to hear anon. I cook for two people who are allergic to milk and eggs, and I also have some food allergies, so I understand how inconvenient will be for you to find food you can eat. Just read your labels, egg is usually listed in bold at the bottom of the ingredients since it is such a common allergen. This will make it easy for you to avoid in future.

You can switch out your eggs for fish if you want an easy and quick breakfast. Brazil nuts have comparable selenium content to eggs, and most of the other minerals can be covered eating fish or another meat. For baking you can use flax seed "eggs", bananas or applesauce to substitute for eggs.

Most important is to not keep eating it and make yourself sick, you will be very unhappy if you do that and can possibly develop allergies to other foods from damaging your gut.
