Veggie burgers can be okay especially if you add something like sauteed mushrooms for more savoriness, and a vegan mayo to make it rich and fatty.

I don't think you'll find anything to replace steak though. The closest thing I've found that hits the same signals as red meat is actually good dark chocolate. I think it's because chocolate has a good amount of iron in it.

I don't think it does. It's closer than what veggie burgers used to be, but it's still softer and has a veggie burger aftertaste. It's not bad though, just not exactly the same.

life is suffering. if you prefer to not make something suffer, then the only thing you can do it never let them be born in the first place.

since this is your mindset on life, then one can use logic to conclude that you wish you were never born.

the solution to this problem is you kys

Vegetarian here. Just eat your beans or stop being vegan. Eat them in chili, eat them on toast, in tacos and with chips, breakfast, lunch, dinner, eat your beans.

If you're craving meat you're low on protien/iron. Eat your beans.

>> No.20001082

No. I dont miss meat though. Maybe some chicken wings, or a grilled fresh water fish. When you go vegan/vegetarian its a different approach to foods, you cant mimic the meat taste, its just a marketing cope for retarded cattle.
Processing plant based protein to taste like a meat ends up in disaster.

There are several vegan alternatives to meat that aim to closely resemble the taste and texture of traditional meat products like steak or burgers. Here are some popular options:

Plant-Based Burgers:
Beyond Burger: Made from pea protein, it's known for its meat-like texture and juiciness.
Impossible Burger: Contains heme, a molecule found in plants and meat that contributes to a meaty flavor.

Plant-Based Steaks:
Seitan Steaks: Seitan is made from gluten (wheat protein) and can be seasoned to mimic the taste of steak.
Portobello Mushroom Caps: Grilled portobello mushrooms can have a hearty and meaty flavor.

Vegan Sausages:
Field Roast: Offers a variety of grain-based sausages with rich flavors.
Beyond Sausage: A plant-based sausage option made by Beyond Meat.

Tempeh and Tofu:
Marinated and Grilled Tempeh: Tempeh has a firm texture and can absorb flavors well.
Tofu Steaks: Extra-firm tofu can be marinated and grilled for a satisfying texture.

Jackfruit:
BBQ Jackfruit: When cooked and shredded, jackfruit has a fibrous texture that can resemble pulled pork or shredded chicken.

Lentil or Bean Patties:
Homemade Patties: Combining cooked lentils or beans with herbs and spices can create a tasty and satisfying patty.

Remember that the key to making these alternatives enjoyable is often in the seasoning and cooking method. Experimenting with herbs, spices, and marinades can help enhance the flavors and make the transition to plant-based options more enjoyable. Additionally, many restaurants and food manufacturers are continually developing new and improved plant-based alternatives, so keep an eye out for new products in the market.

No. There is nothing like a good piece of meat. Get used to it. Beans and mushrooms can help, cheese if you’re a vegetarian. If you’re dreaming about red meat you’re probably in need of protein and vitamins, so break your diet and have some for a bit. Over the counter vitamins are an expensive bandaid.

you should definitely feel satisfied eating them. Simple eat more until you are satisfied. starch is only 4 calories per gram. Cooked beans are around 1.2 calories per gram. So you can eat a lot of them!

If you're going to give up meat, then give up its taste and "satisfaction" as well and go full vegan, you weak willed pussy. Or else keep eating meat. Why are vegans so pathetic? They want to act holier than thou for not eating meat, but keep craving meat all day and come up with gay "meat alternatives" to satisfy their lust for meat.

my method of cooking them seems to remove most of the gassiness. I quick soak them for one hour, drain, then steam for 12 minutes in a pressure cooker with a drain filter upside down in the center to help it cook evenly.
The beans then go in jars i the fridge.

Satiety is largely based on whether your cells are getting fed. Most cells want sugar, so you got to give them sugar to feel satisfied. That is why starch is an essential part of our diet. Highly addictive snack food is loaded with fat to make it unsatisfying so that people eat more of it.

This same logic could just as easily justify torture, rape, theft, or basically anything generally considered to be immoral.
Just because someone values reduction of suffering doesn't mean it's the only thing they value. They may also value happiness, love, knowledge, virtue, or life itself. Killing yourself would only fulfill one value (reducing suffering), but would fail to fulfill anything else seen as a worthwhile pursuit.

Philosophers and religious figures have advocated the avoidance of harm and suffering for thousands of years. It's the basis of nearly all ethics.
