The Taco Bell within walking distance of my house sells them for $1.79 but the TB a five minute drive away has them for $1.29. Almost every item not part of a Taco Bell ad campaign is $0.20 - $0.50 more expensive at the nearby location. For combos it's even worse, with a Build Your Own Cravings Box $8.99 nearby but only $5.99 at the further one. Both are in the same city, so it can't be a tax thing, just greedy fucks running the one here.

People eat a lot less fast food in those areas compared to rural red parts of the country. They can get away with charging more because they can do more numbers just based on the higher traffic that comes with being in a more densely populated area. It's typically going to be people coming from out of town who goes into a city and orders fast food (i.e., it's people coming from rural red areas who are willing to pay more for their fast food slop instead of having to pick an actual restaurant that isn't a familiar chain.

I don't eat taco bell anymore. I found a big black hair in my crunchwrap. Swore I would never eat there again. I decided to give them another chance and they forgot to put cheese and sour cream on my crunchwrap. I'm sure it's just the retards that work at this particular taco bell not the restaurant itself, but there are too many other options.
