Well, where I live now, all we have is Popeye's and KFC, and Popeye's is pretty damn good, if you get the spicy. KFC completely sucks. I'd rather eat supermarket deli fried chicken than KFC.

about 10-15 minutes from where I live. There's a spot in the middle of the hood known as "chicken town" where a KFC, Popeye's, and Church's are all within 500 feet of each other.

There used to be a fourth mom n' pop owner chicken place there, but that has since closed up.

I know some people that will head over to that area and pick up their favorite items from each of the 3 restaurants then head home for a giant chicken-feast.

I live in New Orleans and Popeye's is easily a weekly affair for me. I've gotten Popeye's in other cities and while the service is generally more competent than the Lasheekas and Fawndeefas we have staffing here, the chicken just isn't as good. Also, fucking Dip'n Chicken. I eat this shit without a single ounce of shame because holy fuck it is tasty.

I love how the kfc in harlem has the entire staff behind bullet proof riot glass, you have to slide the money to a tray at the bottom and opening one side closes the other, and the food comes out of like an air lock thing, they put it in the box from their side, close and lock it, then unlock your side so you can take it out.

Out of it all, I think Popeye's wins. I do miss those Bojangles Boberry Biscuits though. Brother's Chicken is good drunk food, and Church's is meh but pretty damn cheap. KFC has always been pretty shit-tier to me. For some reason, I mentally categorize Chik Fil A as something else entirely. Good, but not the same kind of thing - like chicken for boring white people.

Favorite chicken chain? Tough question, I go to different ones for different things. If I can afford it and feel like driving 15 minutes then Raising Canes is my favorite. The chicken, crinkle fries, Cane's sauce and badass toast make this awesome quadrifacta of awesomeness, I put them all on the toast and eat it like a pizza.

Popeyes if I want some good ol fashioned chicken thighs and drumsticks, the spicy is the best bone in chicken of chains and the biscuits and red beans and rice are A+.

Chick fil A if I want a chicken sandwich or some nuggets. Fries and sauces are really good, not quite on par with Canes.

Chicken Express if I want some cheap and delicious chicken. It isn't as good as the other three but its still damn good and it costs less. Fried pickles and Express tea is a must. And the white gravy, makes those chicken strips beast.

The one on either Midlothian or Huguenot (Its right next to the Big Lots) was a vacant building for years.

It's not a chain but the Homeplace outside of Roanoke, VA has the best fried chicken I've had in my life. The place is a large plantation style house in the middle of the countryside that was converted over to a restaurant. The foods all you can eat and they just keep bringing it out to you. The roast beef there is amazing too.

Popeye's. Sadly, the closest one is really out of the way, so I don't go there much.
I used to eat KFC a lot, and while I do love their extra crispy chicken, I'm usually on the toilet shortly after eating it.
And it only has a few restaurants, but Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is amazing. There's one not far from my school.

My grandpa lives in Iowa Park, Texas, right outside Wichita Falls. Everytime I visit I go there. The restaurant is sketchy too...I've seen roaches in the dining area, and they never clean out the ice cream machine. Usually I've never eat at a place like that but golden chick is god tier.
