America.
2. Do you like authentic Sushi?
Yes. But I wouldn't object to westernized versions. I just can't stand the processed, storebought "california rolls" you find in supermarkets sometimes. The kind where you know it's been spat out by a machine, and the rice doesn't even resemble rice. But just some form of rice goop. Truly vile.
3. What kind of Sushi do you like?
I'm a salmon fan so that's always at the top of my list.
I've also come to love tamago. I thought I might not like the egg but the sweet aspects of it really sit well with the rice.
Oh and tako nigiri.

There are specific ways of preparing fish for sashimi or sushi. You can't just go to the fish market, buy some fresh-caught salmon, cut a bite-sized chunk off a steak, place it on rice, and call it sushi. Specific ways of preparation will give you a piece of meat that's easier to chew, more flavorful, and has a better appearance.

Also, >>4027106 is right that sushi isn't strictly about either just fish or just rice. In Japan, you can find some items on the menu that we in America would definitely consider NOT SUSHI, like grilled pork on rice, eggplant on rice, or mayo-smothered corn (like corn from a can) in a seaweed wrap. As far as I can tell, "sushi", as the term is used in Japan, is a category about as broad as we would use terms like "barbeque" or "fondue" in America. The preparation and appearance have certain characteristics, but the actual ingredients used and the general taste achieved can vary widely.

Speaking strictly semantically, though, the status of the word "sushi" in America is not the same level of category as it is in Japan (i.e. we typically think of just onigiri-zushi as "sushi" and sashimi as "not sushi"). Thus, Americans would place the category of "sushi" at a lower level (like "hamburger" is to barbeque) than Japanese people would.
