Anything you can put salt on. It will taste better than with salt. Always. In my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

Spaghetti, soy sauce and some oil you like
Its quite tasty, ate it when I could barely cook or don't have regular pasta sauce

Soy sauce, rice, your favorite oil
Again poor mans food

Soy sauce chicken
Add soy sauce and dilute it with 40% water. Add raw ginger and thick slices of green onions and boil the chicken

Probably because they think it's meant to be eaten along with the side dishes. Still tastes good though.

>cooking something for the expressed purpose of using a condiment
Do people really do this? I don't think of dishes to cook where I can put mayo on them.

soy sauce isn't just a condiment. Its really a cooking ingredient. Most dishes are made with soy based sauce. really the only time anyone would put soy sauce in their food after its cooked is when eating boiled pieces of food where its dipped in soy sauce

It just seems backwards to me that his priority is to use soy sauce. Why? It's not like it's going to go bad anytime soon.

I don't buy a lot of sauces, or mixes, or whatevers, so when I do buy something like that, I incorporate it into everything.
