What to get, what to avoid. I'll review some things as I try them.

Starting with the chicken and vegetable wonton soup which I had for dinner last night. The wontons themselves were great, flavorful. There were like 6 or 7 so I didn't feel to ripped off. Veggies were good. The broth however was watery and lacking flavor. If I get again I'll add less water.

6/10, may eat again.

K right now I'm eating that frozen french onion soup for lunch on one of you guys recommendation. Good call whoever it was, I think it was OPIATE. This, this is fucking delicious. I nuked it, I imagine its even better if I bake it to brown the cheese.

Trader Joe's uses palm oil* in so many of their products, so I give them the finger.

*For those who don't know, orangutans will be extinct within 10 years due to third world countries that are producing palm oil using very destructive techniques.

No. I wouldn't hold it so personal maybe if they were upfront and not asses about it. I spent three months trying to find out where they source their palm oil from, and they always just jerked me around, and refused to say upfront that they source it from Borneo and Sumatra.

I don't know if this is everywhere or all the time, but the banana chips are a buck for a big bag of em'. Also the soft and chewy dried mango makes me drool.

Also, common knowledge but their chocolate orange sticks are amazing.

Their Indian dinners are the best frozen Indian dinners I've ever tried. The only one I really dislike is the channa masala. The chickpeas always have a funny texture.

Basically, frozen food seems to be the only reason to go to TJ's. Their other groceries are usually pretty awful, and most of the produce I can get cheaper at the local produce market.

Good god, their breads are fucking terrible. I've never thought highly of grocery store bread, but TJ's is some of the worst. Their cheeses are pretty bad too.

I do like some of their store brand beer.

chicken/ beef chili
tons of black beans
coconut milk

really only other thing I eat are powdered eggs
