This is really miniature recipe, but it was really good: decided to make a pie featuring strawberries the other day. Used a premade oreo crust, filled it with vanilla pudding, topped with homemade vanilla whipped cream, and my favorite part: the strawberry compote.
Add about a cup and a half of sliced and diced strawberries to a pot on the stove, smash them in a jam like texture and add, over low heat: 2 tbs brown sugar, enough fresh lemon juice to make a syrupy texture, and 1-2 tsps ground cloves.
Pie turned out awesome and the Strawberry-Clove compote very tasty. Although I think it was too much "wet" ingredients for a pie. Tasted more like a trifle.

500 grams of minced beef (1lb)
500 grams of onion (1 lb) [roughly 2 cups]
50 grams of butter/margarine (half stick)
salt
pepper
3 spoons of flour
5dl bouillon (2 cups beef broth)

Kulor (Not sure this exists in other countries than here, but it's a food coloring that only makes the sauce brown. doesn't add flavor, so not really needed)

1. Chop the onions and fry them in the butter
2. Add meat and cook till brown
3. sprinkle the flour in the pan and stir well
4. add bouillon, salt and pepper and stir
5. Let it cook completely lidded, on low heat for 20 minutes
6. Add a few drops of the food coloring and season after taste.

Thats the basics of millionbof. Some people add different vegetables, ketchup and spices to add different flavors.

1 onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced finely
1/2 lb Italian sausage(hot)
1/4 lb bacon
4 cups of chicken stock
1/2 lb new potatoes sliced
1/2 pint of heavy cream
1 cup of spinach or kale(your preference) julienned

I remove the casing from the sausage before cooking some prefer sliced, cook and remove grease then set to the side.
Cook the bacon until crispy set to the side to cool and crumble.
Sauté the onion and garlic in the reserved bacon fat until translucent, add the chicken stock and bring to a boil.
Once boiling add the bacon and sausage back in, then add the potatoes and cook until potatoes are your preferred consistency. Add the cream and then the spinach or kale and wilt, serve. If it sounds familiar its a spin off of Zappa Toscana from Olive Garden and I only tried to make my own when they told me I couldn't get it by the 5G bucket to take home.

Bacon Chicken and Three Cheese Macaroni

*Note: Amounts are approximate, I made this up as I went along and wrote the recipe down later.

Ingredients
4 oz bacon
6 oz boneless skinless chicken breast
2 tbsp minced onion (not dried)
1 tbsp minced garlic
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
¾ cup chicken broth
1 to 2 cups milk
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp dry mustard
6 oz sharp white cheddar cheese (grated)
2 oz gruyere cheese (grated)
2 oz gouda cheese (grated)
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 tbsp minced chives (not dried)
8 oz uncooked macaroni

Process
Chop bacon into small pieces and cook over medium-high heat until slightly crispy. Remove from pan.

Slice chicken into thin strips and cook until done in bacon fat, then remove from pan.

Cook garlic and onion together in the bacon fat until fragrant and slightly translucent (1-2 minutes) and remove from pan.

Bring about a quart of water to a boil in a medium saucepan and add the macaroni. Cook until slightly firm then drain.

While the macaroni is cooking, melt butter in a large sauté pan (not the pan you cooked the bacon in). When butter is completely melted, add flour and stir together to make a roux. Let cook for roughly 30 seconds. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth and let thicken slightly. Then slowly add milk, whisking to make sure there are no lumps. Continue adding milk until the sauce is fairly thin and will lightly coat the back of a spoon.

Slowly add in the grated cheese a handful at a time, allowing the cheese to fully incorporate into the sauce before adding more. If necessary, add a bit more milk to thin the sauce. Once all the cheese is added, stir the bacon, chicken, garlic, onion, chives, and cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Pour the mixture into a 9x13 baking dish and bake in the oven at 350° for 15 minutes or until lightly brown and bubbly.
