This. Most of the ck challengees don't use their trip anywhere else besides the challenge thread. There's always attention whore exceptions, but that's not uncommon. I like checking out the challenges. It adds tons of OC. Most of the objectors just come off sounding butthurt.

Why does /ck/ hate trips so much?

As far as our anger goes, /ck/ is two different boards in one. Food AND cooking. Half the people here actually cook, work in the business and care about cooking related discussion. The other half just eat food, usually college kids eating cheap junk food. The two crowds conflict with each other. Throw in the inevitable shitstorms that go with "tipping", "vegan", "beans in chili", "well done steak", "Sriracha", "ketchup", "McDonalds", "Chipotle", "Murrifats", "gluten free", etc etc etc and you have the heart of the anger issues. Those shit threads set /ck/ off like an angry beehive. There are some real bros here though. Still a good board.
