They have some awesome things like bacon wrapped filet mignon and other assorted frozen goodies. I shop there when im poor.

their specialty select extra sharp cheddar cheese is AMAZING. very cheap too, only $2.49 over here. don't bother with their cheaper cheeses, they all taste fake. but this... this is good stuff.

again a specialty select product, their three cheese italian vinaigrette is the best store-bought salad dressing i have ever tasted.

DO buy the cheap chocolate chip chocolate cake. delicious, moist, $2.99.

and finally, pic related are amazing. try them if you an find them, but i think they're seasonal.
do not buy jarred jalapenos there, they do not taste of jalapeno.

During my last year at uni I lived down the road from an Aldi so did all my shopping there. Generally it's all pretty decent, bread and essentials like it were just as good as brand versions.

Fruit and veg is where I found the most issues, mainly in consistency of quality. The store seemed to be stocked up most of the time, then for about two or three days every month maybe they'd have an entire store clearout and everything was being restocked, crates and boxes everywhere. It all came at once.

But fruit and veg, you couldn't guarantee its quality, 9 times out of 10 I'd buy things and they were perfect, but that one other time the produce must just be left sitting all day everyday until its gone and they were close to the end of their life. So watch out for that

Ausfag here, I gotta say that my local aldi is fucking off the chain in terms of EVERYTHING.

Quality of the fresh fruit and vegetables is on par with woolworths and coles but at a fraction of the cost. The meat is pretty good, but the price is only slightly lower than coles and woolworths which leads me to suspect that it's probably lesser quality of meat for a more expensive price.

Flour/milk/yeast/canned shit/jar shit is all fucking top-tier shit considering the price.

I don't really buy snackfoods at aldi because I actually cook everything and stuff yaknow.

What does that mean? Means you ate before you came down here? All full. Is that it? Naw, I don't think so. I think you're too scared to be eatin'. Now, see we're sittin' down here, ready to negotiate, and you've already given up your shit. I'm still a mystery to you. But I know exactly where your white ass is comin' from. See, if I asked you if you wanted some dinner and you grabbed an egg roll and started to chow down, I'd say to myself, "This motherfucker's carryin' on like he ain't got a care in the world. Who know? Maybe he don't. Maybe this fool's such a bad motherfucker, he don't got to worry about nothin', he just sit down, eat my Chinese, watch my TV." See? You ain't even sat down yet. On that TV there, since you been in the room, is a woman with her breasteses hangin' out, and you ain't even bothered to look. You just been clockin' me. Now, I know I'm pretty, but I ain't as pretty as a couple of titties

Potato puree. Completely proper, I use it whenever not in mood to peel.
Not good for fried stuff, but works well as thickening agent for stews etc.

Potato pancakes (or whatever they are called there). Okay, but make small ones. Not suitable for big.

"Peach nectar", "Banana nectar". Fucking delicious if rather on expensive side.
