I am about to eat chicken and waffles for the first time.

Is there a certain way I'm supposed to eat it?

I don't want to look like a dummy who doesn't know how to eat chicken and waffles because that would be embarrassing.

I love fried chicken and i love waffle but I just dont feel that they go that well together.

A savory waffle might be good

>> No.5609181

>>5609157
There's no real etiquette to it. You eat the chicken with your hands as usual, and the waffle with knife and fork. Don't be afraid of a little mess.

You can pour syrup over the both of them, or eat them side by side, or dip the chicken in syrup, whatever the hell you want. It's not dainty food.

>>5609157

Yes the way you eat them is you separate the foods onto different plates and then call the retard who put them together on the same plate a faggot.

I want to believe that fried chicken and waffles is some elaborate joke everyone is in on, because I don't see how they go together at all

Stop being such a faggot. It's not like we eat this shit on the regular. I don't see how it's any less ridiculous nutritionally than spotted dick + custard.

I'm willing to bet the Portland version is 6-8 dollars more expensive than the Atlanta. Because Georgia is populated by blacks while Portland has maybe 3 of them. The rest are whites and Asians with money.

>> No.5611011

>>5610991
Actually, they're priced about the same. Also, 6-8 dollars for 3x the amount of chicken meat (they're boneless), doesn't seem too bad, if you think about it.

chicken and syrup is good, faggot... chicken goes good with sweet, especially white meat.

I've only eaten it once at work (a different food cart stops by on Fridays during the summer.)

I never heard of it, and it was such a strange concept that I had to try it.

It was fucking delicious.

I can't remember, but I think what they use to make the waffle was different than what they make normal waffles out of. Cornmeal maybe?

Chicken and waffles is a traditional combination in Belgium, theyre proud of it
so do north amerifats eat traditional European cuisine? sometimes, but not as often as europeans

"Real" chicken and waffles are eaten in the wee hours of the morning.
The chicken is cold leftovers from the night's service before, and the waffles are the first batch of the day.

It's the same thing as southern country-style food. Uses more offal like pigs' feet, but otherwise the same recipes. You have barbecue joints in Britland, surely there's a southern-style diner somewhere.

Hot sauce on the chicken.
Syrup on the waffles.
Cut a piece of chicken and waffle, eat together.
