Powdered Strawberry Quik + Vanilla Ice cream (stir it in and make it smooth, was pretty awesome)
Homemade Kool-aid + Jell-O Popsicles (fucking awesome)

I normally ate this stuff over at my cousins' houses who were rather poor. Liked some of it and started eating it at my house. I haven't had any of that for probably 20+ years now.

Ramen in the packets is best because you can use it with so many things and never need the flavor packet. I buy a couple flats of it from time to time and basically use it like you would any pasta, though usually only with Asian-style cuisine.

>>5611225
>gubment cheese! i don't know why that has such a negative connotation, it's purty good

Because it meant that you were poor/on welfare and back then that was a point for ridicule. It also ranged in taste from region to region because it was made from several different types of cheese. So, it may have been terrible in one place and pretty tasty in another; as well as what decade it was made in.

That's why you make a cup or two at a time, then you have leftover rice for days. It's the same if you cook a whole pound of pinto beans. Soak overnight, then cook them all day in the slow cooker. Once they're done make the rice, then eat like a cook and put the rice and beans in the fridge for your quesadillas/burritos/lunch bowls for the rest of the week.
That's how you poorfag efficiently. That and giant $15 bottles of liquor.

Made one of my main poor meals a few days ago, I'm going to have to half the recipe because we never finish it all.
>half an onion diced and cooked in butter, 6 tbsp
>add 6 tbsp flour. stir constantly till mixed.
>turn off heat, add 3 cups milk
>turn heat back on med high stir constantly
>once mixture starts to thicken add 2 small cans or one big can of tuna.
>seas with salt/pepper/lemon pepper/whatever you're into
Serve over toast. It's basically tuna gravy, but we called it tuna on toast. Top with shredded cheese for a touch of class.

I don't get why people add hot dogs to eggs or Mac n cheese. It just makes the whole thing taste like gross hot dog water.
The only time I eat a hot dog the flavor is masked by mustard or chili.
I'd much rather put tuna and lemon pepper in my mac n chee. As far as eggs go just a little cheese on top of scrambled ones is enough, if you need to have meat on them all you do is fry up a little lunch meat ham and dice it up.

Then everything doesn't taste like it came from 7-11
