It is a corn mill. You mill grains with it to make flours. That's a terrible photo though. I mean photoshopped popcorn in the hopper with photoshopped some weird"flour" from something else in the bowl? lol

I actually own one of those things. It is pretty awesome for a low range cost grinder. I use mine for corn and dry beans.

Can't do that with whipping cream. It will just make whipping cream, because it has loads of emulsifiers in it. You need to use heavy cream and it has to be the kind that does not have emulsifiers in it that prevent butter coagulation.

>tfw there's no brands of heavy cream here anymore I can make butter with
>tfw I have a source of raw milk now

>>5671211
If you use the twist motion instead of the shake motion you can make butter inside of 45 seconds tops. Twisting motions rotate the jar around the center mass, making it much easier than moving the entire mass up and down or side-to-side. If you buy a butter churner, the kind that has the tumbler you spin is the easiest and fastest over the crank paddle and the plunger styles.

No, a Squeezo separates seeds and skins; it squeeses out juices, but can also do food mill applications like puree cooked pumpkin. A food mill is intended to smash and extrude soft foods, not separate them. A food mill is closer to a potato ricer.

You can also do massive batches of stuff with a Squeezo. Here's mine in use making 5 gallons of raspberry and blackberry juice for use in wine and jellies..

No, if you have a decent quality food mill it will take out the skins and seeds from strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, etc.

>>5673554
It will, but that is not really its intended use. Most food mills just grind that stuff through. I've owned several. If you get one, I suggest one that has changeable hole sizes.

>>5673562
Yes, Squeezo is the brand name. "Squeezo Strainer". There's a cheaper knock off called "Victorio Food Strainer" that is mostly plastic including the auger. The Squeezo only has two gaskets that need replacing once ever.....30 years or so; the rest of it is metal. My aunt is on her 3rd Victoria Food Strainer after the other two have consistently broken.

If you get a Squeezo, get all screen sizes, though they are expensive. You'll be able to make anything then from juices to applesauce and pumpkin puree.
