Don't you wish it were the 1980's again so McDonald's could appear good?

It was healthier back then than it is now. The animals weren't as jacked up on steroids and antibiotics. The foods didn't use the same fillers and HFCS wasn't a thing in fast food at all. No GMOs. A simple time. There was still a fight for good health vs junk food, but the junk food was nothing like what it is today.

Everything tasted much different too. Now, all the recipes are completely different and the ingredients different.

they used to fry the french fries in beef tallow. now its fried in vegetable oil spiked with a hit of juice from a big scent, flavor, and perfume conglomerate to make it taste like its still fried in beef tallow.

not sure how much worse it is but I'd rather just have them fried in the regular beef fat rather than the laboratory fake shit.

exactly. it might be fattier and higher calorie but if you eat a full fast food meal more than once or twice a month then that is where you go wrong. its a sometimes food so fuck the new lower fat bullshit. I'd rather have my tallow fries and fast for a couple days after. also, mcnuggets tasted better when they weren't all white meat, I don't know why people think white meat tastes better. Beef fat and vegetable fat are both fat. The change had zero to do with the fat content of the fat the fries are deep fried in, it's still fucking fat.

The thing is that McD's wanted to be able to sell their fries to vegetarians and vegetarians were not going to buy potatoes that had been deep fried in beef fat. Switching to vegetable oil with artificial flavorings allowed them to sell their fries as vegetarian and avoid losing the 'stupid vegetarian who still wants to eat mcdonalds' market.

Both the Steak, Egg, & Cheese and the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese have been available at the various McDonald's locations I've patronized throughout Connecticut. Bagels and sandwiches made with them are pretty popular up here.

Can't speak for Canada, but in the US they never started fucking around with various "value" concepts till the early 90s, and the Value Menu we all know today didn't come along until 2001.

There wasn't much call for a "value menu/dollar menu" when almost everything on the menu was already under a buck anyway.

Environazis. They tried to make Styrofoam the equivalent of puppy-kicking in the national consciousness (and sadly pretty much succeeded), and they specifically targeted McDonald's because they used so much of it.

Of course, McDonald's rolled over almost instantly, instead of telling the faggots to go fuck themselves.

To keep the hot side hot and the cool side cool! (In other words, it was a dumb gimmick. Not that it didn't more or less work, but the resulting containers were unwieldy to say the least. And hell, once you put the two parts together to eat it the lettuce and tomato is going to reach meat temperature in seconds anyway, so all you were really getting out of it was slightly crispier lettuce.)

They still had 29¢ burgers as late as the early 2000s, limit was 10 per customer, but still qualifies as a bag o burgers, and fucking awesome when you were a worthless stoner layabout.

That's how White Castle advertises their burgers, but theirs are of course much smaller. A sack of White Castle sliders seems to make more sense than a sack of McD's hamburgers, small as they are. Makes me wonder if they used to be even smaller...

Im 33 and i used to get lots of fast food in the 80s.. I remember it like it was yesterday. Do the same products seem different now? Yes, but only if you pay close attention. Over time, every kind of technology advances. The food seemed simpler back then and tasted a bit less like salt/msg/sugar etc. Was it better? I dunno. The whole world seemed better when your a kid fuck if i know i wouldnt be allowed to say it anyways. The portion sizes are smaller and of course over the past 15 years with all the crap going on in politics and nutrition. None of that crap was around then. It was a less anal time.

We really arent allowed to hurt the feelings of the know it all kids they are producing anyways. (It can literally fucking get you killed.) Go on VR and see all these snot nosed brats that think games are very hard that we beat with ease.

I like it how "anecdotal evidence" is taken to be a scathing criticism

asking for timestamps in a debate over styrofoam at mcdonalds, or oatmeal for that matter, means you have way the fuck too much time on your hands, and coming from someone who probably spends 15 hours a week shitposting on 4chan, that's saying something.

It actually isn't very cost effective to use steroids or growth hormones in livestock so it isn't at all that common.

And fuck you if you're chickens had a mycoplasma infection you'd give them antibiotics too. The farms don't just pump their animals full of chemicals indiscriminately, if your livestock is sick you give them antibiotics otherwise you leave them alone. Fuck, that shit isn't cheap and it would be absolutely retarded to keep animals on all this shit like you seem to believe farmers do.

Interestingly we had once considered raising "organic" chickens for our company and the only change that would've required was not vaccinating the birds. Literally nothing else, same exact living conditions but with more sickly birds. I thought it was cruel.

There is also literally nothing wrong with GMO's you deranged hippy faggot.
