Their roast chicken is very tasty. Sides are ok all fast food tier.

You'd get the same thing by getting a whole rotisserie chicken, some tortillas, and some mashed potatoes from the store.

It's... mediocre.

I mean, I get cravings for Taco Bell sometimes.
I get cravings for Wendys sometimes.
I get cravings for Jack in the Box sometimes.
I get cravings for McDonalds sometimes.
I get cravings for In & Out sometimes.

I never find myself saying, "Gee, I sure could go for some El Pollo Loco right now!"

The one across the street from me is good. I'd rather get food there than Del Taco or Taco Bell.

Their burritos are a good deal, filling, and not as stupidly huge as Chipotle so you get a more sensible portion size. The chicken is good. They have a decent value menu, and their 'healthy' choices are actually good, and actually healthy. And filling. A 400 calorie burrito actually makes me full there. It's the same size as their regular burrito, or damn near.

On the opposite end of things, they have chocolate churros and deep fried cheesecake. Aww yiss.

As far as fast food goes, I would give Pollo Loco 3.5/5. They do alright by me.

Apartment building I recently moved into has an El Pollo Loco right across the street. I've been there a handful of times and it's pretty damn good. I like the salads and the chicken avocado burritos. Their carnitas aren't as good as their chicken, sadly.
