Am I a child for loving kid food?

One of my friends told me yesterday his favorite foods are chicken wings and pizza. Some people never grow up.

do the same thing with fried chorizo or pate or salami and water crackers/toasted brod circles and good cream cheese/brie etc. and you're an adult

>> No.6100163

Grown ups eat what they want without troubling themselves with such childish questions. So for asking that you already are childish. At least you're not childish enough to think leftovers arranged on a sauce smear and served on a square plate is what adults eat.

Once I watched the bass player in my band eat a plate of chicken fingers with a side of mac & cheese before a gig. I gave him some shit about being in his mid-20's and eating a five year old's birthday meal. His response: "Hey man, at least I had a beer with it."

Not necessarily. But, if you think peeling back a lunchables is somehow preferable to some sliced boars head and favorite cheese and crackers is hard, or some italian deli gourmet finds...ehh. I like a bad few things here and there, from strawberry Crush to sunkist gummi snacks. I don't think yoohoo is better than an iced cappuccino however.

>> No.6101721

There is no such thing as "kid" food. It's just food. The only big difference is the overall lack of seasoning/flavor, but I know plenty of adults who like bland food. It's more about presentation that anything.

If you take that lunchables stuff and put in on a plate, it suddenly becomes a snack for adults. And the core items(carb, meat, cheese) is the basis for the common sandwich.

>> No.6101728

Nope. I often prefer the kid versions of foods. Less complicated unnecessary shit. I don't need 15 different things on my burger. I don't need add ins for my mac and cheese. A simple item cooked well taste better than all that added nonsense.

>And the core items(carb, meat, cheese) is the basis for the common sandwich.
Right, but adults often add something to make it interesting, like mustard, pickles, horseradish sauce - something pungent to offset the fatty blandness. Most kids would consider that ruining it. I'd say that's the difference between adult and kid food: adult food is the same thing but with a greater range of flavor.
