i grow tomatoes.

it seems subtle changes in watering can drastically chagne the shape of my your fruit.

i suspect this is the case with your strawberries.

somebody fucked up the irrigration system when those were growing.

looks like chernoberries
did they come from California?
i live near most of the commercial sized meat, fruit, vegetable, dairy and egg farms in california and the floods here have been putting a lot of crap in the water

Not Op, but can you elaborate one that? I'm growing some tomatoes and I didn't know about this

>> No.6101720

if the tomato plant gets dehydrated, it'll pull water from its fruit. this will greatly interefere with the fruit development.

overwatering also causes harm to the fruit. i'm not totally knowledgeable as to why, but i suspect it dilutes nutrients.

tomatoes are finicky as fuck. people say they're ewsy to grow, but i disagree.

you need a perfect irrigation system if you want perfect tomatoes.

Some varieties seem to be tricky (dang brandywines), but tomatoes are super easy.

In know you can grow certain fruits like apples into molds so that they take non the shape of the mold, does anyone know if this can be done with strawberries or citrus fruits?

A strawberry farm a couple of hours from my parents' place does strawberries in heart shapes for Valentine's day, but shit is expensive because they have to individually affix these little molds to the fruit.
