long ago i read somewhere that giunea pigs were popular food in s. america ayaiaiai areeba lol...little runts are fuzy enough to pet but i wouldnt be so sure about eating them, problem with rodents is that they aren't very clean. cousin had a hamster once that escaped from his cage and while the family was lookign for it the poor bugger got caught in the door jam, cousin closed the door instead of opening it so there were hamster guts smooshed all over the door...if he had only opened the door to make more space for it to run through the little ham woulda been fine i tell ya. name was smokey. almmost look like rabbits without the ears, but the whole point of having rabbits is so you can pick em up by their ears and scold them for being naughty rabbits (naughty rabbits, you ate all the carrots lol)

I had an ecuadorian girlfriend from Quito, she told me cuy (guinea pig) is practically their national dish, Ecuador is pretty poor and still practically everyone can afford to raise cuy. It's good, cheap protein and according to her very tasty. I'd definitly try some.

Honestly, I've had cuy and it's not that tasty and takes way too much effort to get the meat off the bones.

Rabbit, on the other hand, is fucking fantastic in just about every way when prepared correctly. It's a shame they are so damn cute, else it'd probably would have been cheaper and easier to buy here in the states.
