I've sold them door to door

They're ok knives not outright shit but not great either

Only really good thing is the lifetime guarantee.
I would tell friends just to buy a dirt cheap one off ebay or garage sale and send it back to cutco for a new replacement.

That's not a pretty good idea, that's fraud. And even if your trick does work you will still have a shitty knife. It is made in the cheapest way possible, from stamped sheet metal with only a short concave secondary bevel ground out on a small diameter wheel to make it wedge a bit less.

Get a Tojiro, or something from japanesechefsknife.com. It's a once-in-a-lifetime purchase for most people who don't work in a professional kitchen.

>What? I thought they were good. :(

Cutco is a classic example of a mediocre product being sold at high prices because of a careful marketing campaign. It is a classic case study in business schools.

Their knives are actually quite bad. Here's a good example. Despite being among the most expensive knives they tested, it's performance was easily the worst.

>That's a pretty good idea. I like that.

But it's also nothing special. Those $9.99 "as seen on TV" miracle blade / ginsu / whatever-they-call-'em now have the same warranty. No need to pay cutco prices to get that kind of warranty.

I remember applying for a job there. I dropped out after the first day of training, that's when I realized I could never be a door-to-door salesman. It just seems like a horrible job.

do you realize how INSANELY expensive they are? you can easily spend over $1200 on a set of them, and you sure as shit would be better off simply buying 1 single true high quality knife for a fraction of the price and making due using it for every single purpose.

>> No.6275759

>>6275493
yeah.. And the thing is, EVERYONE knows about cutco, so theres no 'cred' with owning them, like a Shun, Global, or Henkles(Zwelling)... If i saw someone with cutco in their kitchen, i would seriously think they were weak willed and retarded.

Wanna cheap out and get 'decent enough' knives? Kitchenaid or Henckles International. Wanna get something to hold onto for a lifetime? Global or Wustof. Wanna get something you can treat like shit and still salvage after years of abuse? Victorinox with zytel handles.

At least they're all Victorinox so they're durable, still I was wondering why our french knives were so shit. Now I know why I prefer serrated knives so much, I'm just used to using them because they're effective for longer even if you don't take care of them.

nigger what the fuck are you doing, at least they're Victorinox but why not just clean them yourselves? Just dump them in some hot ass water.
